The Green Room was a boutique salon with a very clear mission. They wanted to provide exciting beautiful hairstyles for their clients in an ecologically sound way. This was a challenge for an industry that relies heavily on chemicals but they were determined and used only products with sound environmental credentials. Their salon reflected the client’s own personal style and commitment to cruelty-free products and the environment – a different look and feel to most salons and they wanted this radicalism reflected in their new website.
We developed a site that built on their existing branding and used photography from the salon as background parallax imagery. We also used slightly unusual techniques such as a word wheel that rotated on scroll and background imagery that moved on scroll too. The overall effect was to create a site that felt fresh and different and reflected their own personal style and mission.
